Emoz ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, and disclosing that information.

1. Information We Collect

We use Firebase (a Google service) to power our backend and AdMob for advertising.

• Authentication Data: If you use a social login (Google/Apple), we collect your unique ID, email address, and name provided by the provider. For anonymous users, we collect a unique device-based identifier generated by Firebase.

• User-Generated Content: Photos you upload and the emoji grids you create.

• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App (e.g., reactions given, time spent, screens visited) via Google Analytics for Firebase.

• Device Information: Device type, OS version, and unique identifiers (IDFA/AAID) used for advertising and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (Archive, Square, Editor).

• To personalize your experience and provide "AI Mood Insights" using LLMs (Gemini API).

• To show relevant advertisements via Google AdMob.

• To analyze App performance and fix bugs.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

• Retention: We store your data as long as your account is active.

• Inactive Anonymous Accounts: If an anonymous account (not linked to a social login) is inactive for more than one (1) year, we reserve the right to delete all associated data from our servers.

• User Requests: You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data through the App settings.

4. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information to:

• Service Providers: Such as Google (Firebase, AdMob, Google Analytics) to operate our services.

• Legal Requirements: If required by law, we may disclose your information to comply with legal processes.

5. Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase: For authentication, database, and storage. (Google's Privacy Policy applies)

• Google AdMob: For personalized and non-personalized advertising. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve ads. You can manage your ad preferences in your device settings.

• Gemini API: For AI-based emoji recommendations and mood analysis. Your content is processed by Google's LLM to generate these features.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.

7. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA/CCSL)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.

• Object to or restrict the processing of your data.

• Withdraw consent for personalized advertising.

8. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
